Q: What will you never forget about Donald "Don"?
A: Anyone lucky enough to know Don Dischner also knew what a happy and fun-loving man he was. He always had a smile on his face, mischief in his eyes and a good story to tell. Since we were only twelve years apart, I have many great memories of times with him. Uncle Don introduced adventures to me that got him in trouble with my Grandmother. He gave me rides on the back of his motorcycle, visits to a cottage he rented with his friends in Crystal Beach, and when I was only 16, he handed me the keys to his new pastel yellow convertible and said "take it for a spin." At the time it was the highlight of my life and the start of my love for convertibles. I have always considered myself blessed to call him my Uncle. We have to say goodbye for now, but he will live on in our hearts and minds.

Words fall short of expressing my sorrow for your family’s loss. I’m reminded of Don every time I see his writing on the electrical wiring in my basement. Don was a meticulous Electrician and a wonderful person. He will be missed.

Don and i were born one week apart,me first.Went to the same high school.Were drafted together in Sept.61.Went to basic at Ft.Dix.A,I.T. at Ft.Carson.Across the ocean on a troop ship and then by train to Baumholder Ger.and the 16th Inf. There the two of us continued to "save the world". I'll remember Don for his continuous smile and friendship.It was a pleasure to serve with him. R.I.P. Ken Levan
