I became friends with Glenna through her daughter Laura. Laura and I became close friamily and spent many holidays and celebrations together. Glenna, from my first meeting, was so welcoming of my family. We hit it off from the start. I ADORED HER WIT!!! She could so crack me up! We also had the common trait of trying to find a shortcut and/or the fastest way to do literally everything. Glenna was great at this! - I was fast, but with a lot of do-overs.
I did love Glenna's ability to tell it like it was. A favorite memory was when Laura and I thought we would take Glenna to a fabric store to pick out fabric for Stephen's (grandson) high school graduation quilt. So funny! Glenna was in the store maybe 10 minutes and just let us know that this was boring and she was going to wait in the car. Laura and I just burst out laughing.
Glenna raised two women that are two of my favorite people on the planet. Laura and Susie are just such lovely humans and so are their children. The matriarch of this beautiful family did an amazing job!
So happy that I became her friend. She will be so missed❤️

Glenna was my mother-in-law and "Sittee" to our kids, Alex and Stephen, and Sittee g-g (great grandmother) to granddaughter Aly. She was always a vibrant presence in our lives with a quick wit and an engaging personality. She made new friends wherever she went. Christmases at our house will not be the same without her. Glenna was my Mother-in-Law, and from the start welcomed, accepted, and loved me as family. She was always so fun to be around and we shared many happy times, always with a good laff. Her love for her girls - Laura and Susie was matched only by that for her brother Jim and her sisters, and her greatest joy was being ‘Sittee’ grandmother to her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was a constant in our lives and we will miss her forever - we love you Glenna
