Uncle Michael,
Even though I am your Nephew-in-law, I have always seen you as my blood Uncle. I grew closer to you than any of my Uncles, and I think that is because you always made an effort to be a part of our lives. The family trips we went on were always a blast, in large part to your planing of activities, like deep sea fishing (I caught the most fish, 54) and clamming with Spoofski (we got 4 clams, I think). I appreciate you taking the time to be so present in all of our lives, and bringing this family closer together. You have been a huge part of making me feel like a part of this family, and for that I will always be grateful to you. You will be forever missed.

To the McManus family I’m so sorry for your loss … Micheal was a great brother in law, he had the best laugh i can still hear it. he loved to make fun of us going through ads for Black Friday shopping and told us we were crazy.. just pay the full price would ya with a chuckle .. There were good times and bad times, but it’s funny now that your gone I can only remember the good in you. You always made traditions for us, like the Macys Day Parade that Shea and I dreaded watching as he got older. You wanted Shea to be well rounded, so instead of our Saturdays at a trampoline park or chuckie cheese we went to the art gallery or science museum. I hated it, but went along because it made you happy. But now I see what you were trying to do. You just wanted the best for him as I do. So as unhappy it will make us we will be watching the parade this year and every year after, while taking trips to the museums and other places that we used to deem boring. We will never forget your laugh that could light up a room, or your silly stories - as you would always say “ you can’t write this”. I will do my best to take care of our son and make him the man you aspired him to be. Please watch over him. We love you Michael, you are missed so much

Uncle Michael was one of a kind. You knew exactly where he was in a room probably telling a story about some distant family history or Buffalo sports. You will be dearly missed.
