Please see the announcement of Ben's passing that was sent to the Buffalo District workforce.
Dear Buffalo Teammates,
I’m sorry to pass along news that former teammate, Ben Mlodzinski, passed away on 6 January 2022.
Ben proudly served in the US Navy as a Seabee and after leaving the service was employed as a millwright at Bethlehem Steel until its closing in the early 80’s. Ben then started his career with the Corps at the Mount Morris Dam where he stayed until retiring in 2008.
During his tenure at the dam, Ben was instrumental in in developing a working relationship with the community and worked with his team to highlight the dam in the community where he received an award from Livingston County for his activities.
Please keep Ben’s family in your thoughts and prayers. He is survived by a brother, sister, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews along with close friends.
Thank you, Ben, for your service to our Nation with the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers! Well done and be thou at peace.
