Obituary of Lyric Tea Metlak-Blackchief

Passed away on November 30, 2021, born of Carrie Metlak and Alex Schmitz, chosen and adopted by Troy and Jennifer (Nowicki) Blackchief, dear sister of Christian and Amaya Blackchief, loving granddaughter of Maryann (Joyce) Nowicki, Raymond (Kate) Nowicki and Hubert and Nona (Harriger) Blackchief, also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday from 3:00-7:00pm at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3155 Orchard Park Road in Orchard Park, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10:00am at St. John XXIII Church (corner of Harlem Road and Arcade Street), please assemble at church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Blackchief Family Foundation which is being established in Lyric’s honor. Donations accepted via Venmo @BlackchiefFamilyFoundation. Lyric loved art, drawing and elephants. She found great joy in her family and friends.
