Died December 19, 2016, beloved husband of Margaret (Whalen); dear father of Sean (Lisa), Katie (Ross Wickenhiser) Keane, Jimmy (Barbara), Meg Keane; loving grandfather of Connall, Carrie, Peter, John, Seamus, Joseph and William; brother of Nancy Lafferty, Mary Alice (late Joseph) O'Neil, Sally (late James) Trevean, Michael (Marie), Cornelius (Ellen), Catherine, Daniel, Margaret "Mickey"(William) Ray, Peter, Maureen (Michael) Sullivan, late Richard (Mary), William (late Nancy), Thomas (Marion), Connie Smith and Joseph Keane; son-in-law of Gerald J. Whalen and the late Helen Healy; brother-in-law of Honorable Gerald (Nora) Whalen, Timothy (Cindy) Whalen, Annmarie (Kevin) Kelley, Susan (James "Red") Kelleher, Casey (Jack) Kelley, late Raymond "RJ" Whalen; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednewsday from 6-9:00 PM and Thursday 3-8:00 PM at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME, INC. (Southtowns Chapel), 3155 Orchard Park Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at St. Teresa Church at 11:00 AM. (Please assemble at Church). Flowers are gratefully declined. Jim was a member of the American Legion Post #721, B.F.D. Union Local #282 and the Ticket Takers Union Local # 235
