To Rich, Brian, Marian, Suzanne, and all who were close to Liz,
Sending you love and strength as you grieve the loss of Liz and Steve - two mighty pillars in your family. I am so sorry. It was a pleasure to have known Liz through my partner Cara Beth, to whom Liz was a steadfast friend. I'll miss her visiting us in LA and meeting up in Boston. She was a force for good and a lot of fun to be around. My heart is with you.

Sending heartfelt condolences to the entire Barnes family on the death of Elisabeth Barnes, a daughter, a granddaughter, a sister, a cousin, a committed attorney who wanted to make the world a better place. What a life she lived in the too brief time she was given. My daughter Esther knew her and always enjoyed her company at Barnes gatherings she attended. We know this is a most difficult time for all of you, and we hope that you can find peace in the legacy of her life and the memories that will always be with you. May her memory always be for blessing. Holly

I graduated with Liz from Orchard Park High School in the Class of 2006. We weren't particularly close friends but Liz was always someone I respected and looked up to. We played soccer together and had many of the same classes. Every class has that kid that you just know is going places, even from our days at Ellicott Elementary School through high school, Liz was that kid. Liz was always such a loving, caring, all around beautiful person that emanated happiness and light. Her laugh was distinct, contagious, and instantly lifted your mood. Her competitive spirit, brilliance, and impressive work ethic inspired everyone to be better and strive to fully enjoy life. It saddens me that she is gone, as she always seemed to have the best friendships and most amazing adventures. Knowing her close knit group of best friends and family are saying this impossible goodbye is so heartbreaking. She is truly a shining star and will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May you rest in eternal peace Liz, you are truly legendary. Sending condolences, love, and healing thoughts to all who are grieving this incredible loss.

Dear Rich and Family,
How incredibly sad. I had the privilege of coaching Lizzie is soccer for more than 3 years. On the field, she was as fierce a competitor as I have ever coached. Off the field, she was the best player a coach could hope to have - I still remember her bright eyes and smile as our team walked off the field after a game. She made coaching a joy.
As she grew-up and matured into the remarkable woman she became, I found pride in being there at the beginning.
With great sympathy,
Tom Furlani
