Terry was very good to me and my family. When we would meet, talk seemed to always come around to the touch football game behind Timon where Terry slipped on an oil slick and bounced down the blacktop on his head. As the years went by the distance he bounced grew from five feet to the front door of St. Tommies!

Such wonderful memories of our wonderful Edgewood Ave friends & it makes me so sad to think of second generation members leaving us. May your nice family & thoughts of the good times sustain you at this most difficult time. Cannan family,
I was very saddened to learn of Terry’s passing. I have many great memories of growing up next door to the Cannan’s on Edgewood, including seeing Terry return from Vietnam and the pain and suffering he endured as a result of his wounds. I also got to see Terry become a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
He will be dearly missed by so many.

Dear Joanne, Leah, Delia, Mary, and Charles,
Please accept my condolences on the loss of Terry. It was a true honor knowing him. I will remember him as one of the kindest and friendliest persons in our family. The family reunions are some of the fondest childhood memories I have and Terry was often at the center of those parties.
At my grandmother, Norma's funeral, Patty Preston talked about how kind Terry was following Wally's passing years ago. I know Amanda held Terry in a special place in her heart. It speaks to how kind and important he was to many in the family.

Cannan Family,
We are very saddened to hear of Terry's passing. I remember Terry coming home from Vietnam badly injured, I always thought of him as a true American patriot. I was fortunate to have run into Terry a few times on trips back to Buffalo. It was always a pleasure to visit with such a gentleman.
