Starkey, Thomas F., 81 of West Seneca, peacefully passed away at home on January 18, 2025, surrounded by family. Beloved husband of the late Mary Esther (Gehen) Starkey; dear father of Esther (Tony) Molinaro, Teresa (Steven) Mesi, Thomas (Laura) Starkey, James (Janelle) Starkey; loving grandfather of Kylie (Shane), Anthony (Sarah), Matthew, Thomas, Shawn, Alyssa, Jackson, Nathan, Conor and Elise; great-grandfather of Milo; son of the late Thomas and Anna Marie (Hess) Starkey; brother of John (Joan) Starkey, Betty Starkey, and the late James Starkey; brother in law of Peggy (late Russell) Shaw, Thomas (“Dee”) Gehen and the late James (late Eileen) Gehen; also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call on Tuesday from 4-8:00 pm at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME, 3155 Orchard Park Road in Orchard Park (716) 675-9027. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:15 am at Queen of Heaven Church (please assemble at the church). The burial will follow the mass at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice & Palliative Care Buffalo, 225 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga, NY 14225. Tom was a 1960 graduate of Bishop Timon High School and retired from Heat and Frost Insulators Local Union 4 in 1999. He enjoyed carpentry, had a love of model trains and enjoyed cooking for his family. Tom loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and their many activities.
