Beloved husband of Mary (nee McGrath) and loving father of Mary Claire (Mark) Vivian, Meg (Tim) Maxwell, Anne (Joe) Smith, Conor (Kaitlin) and Bess (Andy Morin). Adored grandfather of Mara, Colin and Tess Vivian; Charlie, Libby, Mary and Jack Maxwell; Catherine and Joseph Smith; and Mae and Rose Devine. Also survived by siblings Bill (late Carol), Tom (Anne), identical twin Tim (Mary Ellen), Pat (Patty), Paul (Carol), Michael (Lisa), Peg (David Grigglestone) and Don (Tracy), and brothers-in-law Joseph (Margy) McGrath, Michael (Lynette) McGrath, John (Patty) McGrath, sisters-in-law Mary (late Ed) McGrath and Margaret (John) Curran. Terry also had dozens of nieces and nephews who were dear to him and who are already missing him. Friends may call Friday from 4-8PM at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME INC. INC. 3155 Orchard Park Rd. 716-675-9027. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10:00AM at Nativity of our Lord Church 26 Thorn Ave Orchard Park, NY. Please assemble at church. Interment to follow at Nativity Cemetery. Terry was a graduate of Timon High School, Paul Smith’s College and the University of Massachusetts. In August, he and his wife, Mary, celebrated 50 years of marriage. In recent years, they traveled extensively and spent countless happy days caring for and attending events with their children and grandchildren. An unparalleled example of how to live a life of generosity, Terry was always available to lend a hand to a friend or family member in need.
