To many, you are “Mary,” but you will always be our Aunt Terry. You have been a steadfast, positive influence and role model for all of the lives you have touched. Summer visits with you included “camp outs” in the yard, cookouts, and lots of swimming. Mister Murphy, your water rescue Newf, would panic and yank us from the water. Such fun.
Your soft voice was typically matter-of-fact in that “Collins way,” and you might not have known this, but my sisters and I had contests to see who could replicate your “Columbo stare.” (young Terry won, hands down).
You always said to “be the best you can be. Travel, educate yourself, be good to animals, and go to church.”
There are bird feeders in my yard and coffee cans to scoop the seed— just like yours. You will be missed beyond words.
