Mr. Marotta:
I am heartbroken to hear of the loss of Mrs. Marotta. Such a wonderful person and someone that made a big impression on my life. Always friendly, always upbeat, and most importantly always there when you needed her. For me, that was the trip I took with her to England and France. I am sure I caused a few gray hairs that trip, but Mrs. Marotta took good care of me, and I certainly was appreciative. Not so sure I wanted to do that French play my sophomore year, but how bad could it be being the only male in a group ensemble? Again, Mrs. Marotta encouraged me and pushed me out of my comfort zone. Although we haven't spoken in years, I feel the heaviness of your loss and I am thinking of you and your family.

You Were There - A Tribute To My Beloved Sister Anne
(Written In Chronological Order)
When I was born and came home from the hospital – You Were There
When we ran cross-lots thru the fields and picked Brown-Eyed Susans and Queen Anne’s Lace on our way to Grandma and Grandpa Meacham’s place – You Were There
When we excitedly waited all day for Dad to get home from work so we could all go swimming in our pond – You Were There
When we rode the bus in the Summer to go to swimming lessons, and we sat in the very, very back so that when the bus went over the bumps on the old dirt roads, we would fly into the air, it was joyous and we laughed – You Were There
When we were on our bed balancing with our legs in the air and I fell on you and broke your nose – You Were There
When I wanted to learn how to do a cartwheel, round-offs and cheers – You Were There
When Mike ripped my Fuzzy Shirt during a game of Monopoly because I wouldn’t sell him my property – You Were There
When we sang to the radio, went gaga over The Beatles and The Monkees, and listened to records in our room – You Were There
When Mike rushed me to the hospital when I was 11 years old – You Were There
When Dad brought our pug dog, Pudgy, home for the very first time – You Were There
When I got my ears pierced on my 13th birthday and someone had to freeze my earlobes with ice cubes and wield the needle – You Were There
When I graduated from college – You Were There
When I started working at Kodak and got the apartment right next door to Aunt Vera – You Were There
When Mom had to go to Senior Living, then Assisted Living and then a Nursing Home – You Were There
When You and Frank, Mr. Ken and I traveled to Las Vegas in 2000 and each couple renewed their wedding vows and stood up for each other – You Were There
When I called in 2000 to tell you that I had taken Jesus Christ into my heart – You Were There
When Mom passed away in 2010 – You Were There
When we had the delight of seeing a live performance of Footloose in Red Rock Canyon, Utah – You Were There
When I became disabled in 2011 and was having anxiety attacks all hours of the day and night – no matter what time it was – You Were There
When I had an emergency abscessed tooth extraction, was in excruciating pain during the middle of the night and needed someone to hold my hand – You Were There
When Mr. Ken and I celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary in Virginia – You Were There
When we played Monkey Wrench and 7 Little Words, compared our Wordle scores for the day, discussed cozy mysteries, and life for hours – You Were There
And when I take my last breath here on earth and my first breath in Heaven, I know You will greet me at the Gate and we will be together again, because just as You always have been – YOU WILL BE THERE!

Anne was one of the best administrators I ever served under. She was at Ken Ton briefly, but she was kind, gracious, smart and a lovely person. I so appreciated her honesty and warmth as a teacher. I believe she cared about those she served. I often wondered how she was doing after retirement and I am grateful she traveled and enjoyed life. She was a gem and treasure.

It was my incredible good luck in July 1979 to receive an interview call from Geneseo Central School. I didn’t even know where Geneseo was, but after talking to many people decided it would be a great place to at least visit. At the interview, an enormous woman entered, who was to be my interviewer (it WAS the age of platform shoes after all). She asked incredibly professional questions and was so nurturing in this high pressure situation. I got the job and was blessed to work with Anne for 16 years and she was the best mentor and “boss“ that I could ever have wished for. She was the seldom seen educator who had more integrity than ego. I loved her and will miss her greatly.

I was so sorry to hear this. I have such fond memories of Mrs. Marotta. When we were to select our French name for class, and I didn't know the translation for my name so said Ann. She said.. non! Cheri!! As much as french was a struggle for me, I loved being Cheri, and she did such a good job that i could get through a french research paper 12 years later. Wish I'd told her.
I'm grateful for having been able to know even that small part of her, and can't imaging the loss others closer must feel. My condolences, Mr. Marotta (remembering your kind patience with that shy kid I was), and all her family and close friends.

Mrs. Marotta was a lovely person and wonderful teacher who fostered a passion for learning and languages in her students. I have such fond memories of our GCS trip to France and all the St. Bonaventure competitions she coached and supported us through. Sincere condolences to Mr. Marotta and her family.

Mrs. Marotta was an inspiring French teacher. I still remember reading Le Petit Prince in her class and learning poetry to recite at St. Bonaventure's. When we had French students staying ,we would bring them to visit her. I almost became a French teacher because of how she emphasized speaking but I confess, math won out in the end!
My sincerest condolences to Mr. Marotta. There are no words to heal the heart.

Frank, I saw Anne's obituary in the local paper today. I am so sorry for your loss. It sounds as if she had a wonderful life with you and that you guys traveled extensively. I am living in Dansville now and definitely want to attend any activities in Geneseo to honor her. I remember you attended my dad's funeral mass and it was comforting to me. My email is oreosmom01@gmail.com. Please reach out to me when you can. I recently lost my long time partner so I can symphasize with you

In sacred memory of our beloved Anne, whose loving presence, thoughtful nature and creative spirit graced us all. She was a veritable beacon of selfless consideration, always extending her care far beyond the confines of family ties. As a boy, she embraced me as if I were her own son; an embodiment of kindness that will forever be etched in my heart. May her soul find eternal peace.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Anne. I had such a high level of regard for her as my boss in KenTon. I'll never forget when we first met. We were sitting at a meeting and chatting about our drive into work that day. We both said we lived in Orchard Park and we both said we lived at Michael and Baker almost simultaneously. It was an instant connection that we shared every time we saw one another. I often ride my bike by your house and think of Anne. Prayers for your comfort. Ellen Gossel, Chisholm Trail neighbor

Anne,
From the day we were born you have always been a part of the Albanese kids' lives, a cherished friend to our parents and much loved Aunty to us. I will always remember summers by the pool, French lessons and the times you and Frank would look after us. Tommy and I still have Oggy and Kitty, now beloved by our daughters, gifts from you and Frank when we were babies. We love you and miss you always. Love, Laura Beth

All always remember swimming at Aunt Anne's and Uncle Frankie's
Anne and Frank were always welcoming letting four wild young Albanese kids come down and use the pool as if it was there own..
Looking back making summers that much more special!
Anne was also my advanced French teacher
I can honestly say everyone of my classmates loved her!
She was the nicest and most caring teacher I had during high school
Although we haven't spoke in years, I've been able to share memories with my daughter Layla..
Layla did some of her best artwork for Anne and was happy she got to learn about her
Sorry for your loss Uncle Frank
Sending prayers and God bless
